Financial support
A limited number of bursaries up to the value of £200 are available on a first come first served basis for students, early career microscopists (academic or industrial) or other microscopists with limited access to travel funds, to fund costs associated with attending the meeting. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to the society.
Meeting details
We are planning for an in-person meeting and will be streaming the meeting live for people who wish to attend virtually. Because we will have all of the normal costs associated with running the one day meeting, including room hire charges, speaker travel, and other affiliated costs, registration is the same whether you attend in person or stream the event. Details of how the meeting will be streamed will be sent to registrants on the 3rd December.

RMS beginners competition
We are hosting the RMS beginners Competition this year.
The beginners competition is specifically aimed at students, interns, apprentices and faculty staff who may have given no more than two talks outside their home institution. We welcome talks on topics with a microscopy focus and using any form of microscopy. The presentation slot is relatively short, encouraging an economical style and well-thought out talk and is a highlight of the meeting. Participants are allocated a 10-minute slot, to include a recommended 7 minute talk and 3 minutes for questions. Students interested in entering should send an e-mail to the society. |
