Financial support
A limited number of bursaries up to the value of £200 are available on a first come first served basis for students, early career microscopists (academic or industrial) or other microscopists with limited access to travel funds, to fund costs associated with attending the meeting. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to the society.
Meeting details
We are planning for an in-person meeting and will be streaming the meeting live for people who wish to attend virtually. Because we will have all of the normal costs associated with running the one day meeting, including room hire charges, speaker travel, and other affiliated costs, registration is the same whether you attend in person or stream the event. Details of how the meeting will be streamed will be sent to registrants on the 2nd December.
We will be hosting talks from seven invited speakers and eight early career talks through the RMS beginners competition. Our speakers will be covering subjects as diverse as new instrument design, bioimaging and cryo-SEM, using SEM to supplement macrophotography, new probes for confocal microscopy, appilications in EBSD, atom probe microscopy, XPS, Raman spectroscopy and microscopy applications in food research.
As always, this promises to be a fascinating and varied programme with no overall theme except for the unifying influence of advanced imaging techniques.
